Electric Vehicles (EV)

India Government targeting to make India an Electric Vehicle country by the year 2030. Where Diesel/Petrol engine cars/busses will be demolished and replaced by smokeless & noiseless electric vehicles.


Types of electric vehicles are


  1. Electric Vehicles (EV) are runs on stored electric power which is supplied by batteries. Batteries can charge by plugging into an electric power source.
  2. Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) are runs both on conventional/alternative fuel and stored electric power (batteries). But battery is charged within the vehicle as like EV’s no need to charge the battery plugging to another power source.
  3. Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) are runs both on conventional/alternative fuel and stored electric power (batteries). As like EV’s batteries can charge by plugging into an electric power source.
Till now the EVs are costly in comparison to midsize Petrol/Diesel powered vehicles. But government is drive EV mission aggressively.

Consequent to the announcement of withdrawal of legal tender status of banknotes of ₹ 500 and ₹1000 denominations from the midnight of November 8, 2016, the Reserve Bank of India made arrangements for exchange and/or deposit of such notes at the counters of the Reserve Bank and commercial banks, Regional Rural banks and Urban Cooperative Banks. Such exchange/deposits effected from November 10, 2016 upto November 27, 2016 amounted to ₹ 8,44,982 crore (exchange amounted to ₹ 33,948 crore and deposits amounted to ₹ 8,11,033 crore) as in RBI's press release. It is also stated that the public have withdrawn, during this period, ₹ 2,16,617 crore from their accounts either over the counter or through ATMs.

Amazon possibly working on new stand-alone messaging app called Anytime.  Despite there being dozens of different apps in the category, many of them have managed to garner millions of users. Diabetes is on the rise from urban to rural people due to lack of healthy life style. China, India and USA are among the top three countries with a high number of diabetic population. While the numbers climbed from 20.4 million in China in 1980 to 102.9 million in 2014, the rise has been equally dramatic in India from 11.9 million in 1980 to 64.5 million in India. Prevalence of diabetes has more than doubled for men in India and China (3.7 per cent to 9.1 per cent in India and 3.5 per cent to 9.9 per cent in China). It has also increased by 50 per cent among women in China (5.0 per cent to 7.6 per cent) and 80 per cent among women in India (4.6 per cent to 8.3 per cent).
