The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development


At the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit on 25 September 2015, world leaders adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which includes a set of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and tackle climate change by 2030. These officially came into forceon 1 January, 2016.




The 17 SDGs are:
  • No Poverty 
  • Zero Hunger 
  • Good Health and Well-Being 
  • Quality Education; Gender Equality 
  • Clean Water and Sanitation 
  • Affordable and Clean Energy 
  • Decent Work and Economic Growth
  • Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
  • Reduced Inequalities
  • Sustainable cities and Communities 
  • Responsible Consumption and Production 
  • Climate Action 
  • Life Below Water 
  • Life on Land 
  • Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions 
  • Partnerships for the Goals.
