Indian Financial System

The Indian Financial System consists of two parts-
  1. Indian Money Market
  2. Indian Capital Market

Money market is a market for “near money” or it is the market for borrowing and lending of short-term funds.

Capital Market is the market where long term funds are borrowed and lent. It does not deal with capital goods, but is concerned with raising of money capital for investment purpose.
