Bank Account Portability

In a far-reaching step towards enhancing competition and improving customer service RBI has asked banks to work towards account number portability.

As it is published in news sources speaking at the annual conference of banking ombudsmen recently, RBI Deputy Governer SS Mundra said that banks should look forward to providing more choices to the new generation of customers who are more technology savvy.

So, time is no far wherein customers would be able to silently walk out from one institution to another, in case of any dissatisfaction with services.

Mundra also referred about the rising trend of loss of cheques from drop boxes & the lack of alacrity shown by banks in redressing such complaints. And he suggested for the customers immediate compensation.

Kailash Manasarovar Yatra (KMY)'s Last Date for Registration is 15th March 2017

Ministry of External Affairs organizes this Yatra during June to September each year through two different routes - Lipulekh Pass (Uttarakhand), Nathu La Pass (Sikkim). Kailash Manasarovar Yatra (KMY) is known for its religious value, cultural significance. It is undertaken by hundreds of people every year. Holding significance for Hindus as the abode of Lord Shiva, it holds religious importance also for the Jains and the Buddhists. It is open to eligible Indian citizens, holding valid Indian passports, who wish to proceed to Kailash-Manasarovar for religious purposes. Ministry of External Affairs does not provide any subsidy or financial assistance to Yatris. Yatris need to spend 3 or 4 days in Delhi for preparations and medical tests before starting the Yatra. SSC rescheduled it's JE Examination-2016 (Paper-I)

JE Examination-2016 (Paper-I), which was tentatively scheduled to be held from 20.12.2016 to Staff Selection Commission (Government Of India) . The exact dates for JE Examination-2016 (Paper-I & Paper-II) would be intimated shortly. SSC 23.12.2016, has been rescheduled due to administrative reasons and would now be held in the month of February 2017 by The Combined Higher SecondaryLevel Examination-2016 (Tier-I) would be conducted by the Commission on the scheduled dates i.e. from 7th January, 2017 to 5th February, 2017.

Google Tez : digital payment service

Google is going for unveil a Digital Payment Service in India. As is published in different media houses the Tech Giant is looking launching at a payment service "Google Tez" which will include support for Unified Payments Interface (UPI) as well as mobile wallets like Paytm & MobiKwik. In last Jul, National Payments Corporation (NPCI) had said Google had completed the testing of its UPI payment service and was awaiting Reserve Bank of India's approach to launch its service in the country.
