Viva-voce interview for the post of Assistant Food Analyst under H& F.W(A) Deptt., APSC

Viva-voce interview for the post of Assistant Food Analyst under H& F.W(A) Deptt. to be held from 15/03/2017 to 20/03/2017. Interview will be held at the office of the APSC at Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-22.

The following corrigendum is issued in respect of the notification No. 141PSC/DR- 2/1/2013-2014 Dated Guwahati, the 10th March, 2017.

The verification of documents of candidates will be undertaken
  • From 9.00 am to 10.00 am on the day of viva-voce interview.
Time of viva-voce interview will be
  • From 10.30. am each day.
There will be no further date for verification and interviews for any remaining candidate for the said post.

Consequent to the announcement of withdrawal of legal tender status of banknotes of ₹ 500 and ₹1000 denominations from the midnight of November 8, 2016, the Reserve Bank of India made arrangements for exchange and/or deposit of such notes at the counters of the Reserve Bank and commercial banks, Regional Rural banks and Urban Cooperative Banks. Such exchange/deposits effected from November 10, 2016 upto November 27, 2016 amounted to ₹ 8,44,982 crore (exchange amounted to ₹ 33,948 crore and deposits amounted to ₹ 8,11,033 crore) as in RBI's press release. It is also stated that the public have withdrawn, during this period, ₹ 2,16,617 crore from their accounts either over the counter or through ATMs.

Diabetes is on the rise from urban to rural people due to lack of healthy life style. China, India and USA are among the top three countries with a high number of diabetic population. While the numbers climbed from 20.4 million in China in 1980 to 102.9 million in 2014, the rise has been equally dramatic in India from 11.9 million in 1980 to 64.5 million in India. In a landmark decision, following the introduction of single medical entrance exam in the country, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfarehas now made provision for common counselling at the State level for admissionto medical courses at the under graduate and post graduate levels. As per the amendments made in the relevant regulations of MCI, the designated authority at the State/UT level shall conduct common counselling for all medical education institutions in the State whether established by the Central Government, State Government, University, Deemed University, Trust, Society, Company, Minority Institutions or Corporation.
