The current account holders (applicable to Current Accounts which are operational for last three months or more) are allowed to withdraw up to ₹ 50000 in a week. Such tenders will be disbursed predominantly in ₹ 2000 denomination only.Withdrawal of Legal Tender Character of Specified Bank Notes – Expanding the distribution locations for deposit and withdrawal of cash.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released an Architecture and Specification document for the Nation Wide WI-Fi Network named “Public Wifi Pilot” on dated 7 th July 2017. ADB projects India’s growth 7.0% in 2016

India’s  tempered growth projection to 7.0% from the previously forecasted 7.4% in 2016 is due to weak investments, a slowdown in the country’s agriculture sector, and the lack of available cash due to the government’s decision to ban high-denomination banknotes. Asian Development Bank (ADB) has downgraded the forecast in South Asia from 6.9% to 6.6% in 2016. Growth will bounce back in 2017, reaching 7.3%. India’s tempered growth projection to 7.0% from the previously forecasted 7.4% in 2016 is due to weak investments, a slowdown in the country’s agriculture sector, and the lack of available cash due to the government’s decision to ban high-denomination banknotes. This will likely affect largely cash-based sectors in the country including small- and medium-scale businesses. The effects of the transition are expected to be short-lived and the Indian economy is expected to grow at 7.8% in 2017.

Common counselling at State level for admission to medical courses at UG and PG levels

In a landmark decision, following the introduction of single medical entrance exam in the country, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfarehas now made provision for common counselling at the State level for admissionto medical courses at the under graduate and post graduate levels. As per the amendments made in the relevant regulations of MCI, the designated authority at the State/UT level shall conduct common counselling for all medical education institutions in the State whether established by the Central Government, State Government, University, Deemed University, Trust, Society, Company, Minority Institutions or Corporation.
