64% in driving license in Guwahati without Test

Six out of every 10 people with a driving license in India never actually sat behind a wheel to get it, according to a sample survey done across 10 cities, including the five metros, which have the highest vehicle population published in a news by The Economic Times.

Just 12% of drivers in Agra got their license the honest way, with 88% of the respondents admitting they did not give a driving test. The same goes for 72% drivers in Jaipur and 64% in Guwahati. About 54% in Delhi and half of the respondents in Mumbai too gave this mandatory test a miss.

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its approval for the creation of the posts of Chairman and Technical Members of the National Anti-profiteering Authority (NAA) under GST, following up immediately on the sharp reduction in the GST rates of a large number of items of mass consumption. This paves the way for the immediate establishment of this apex body, which is mandated to ensure that the benefits of the reduction in GST rates on goods or services are passed on to the ultimate consumers by way of a reduction in prices as it is published by PIB . Dove apologizes for a social media post that the company says "missed the mark". Dove took down the ad Sunday and posted an apology on Twitter.  An image we recently posted on Facebook missed the mark in representing women of color thoughtfully. We deeply regret the offense it caused. — Dove (@Dove) October 7, 2017 The offending ad was a 3-second GIF hawking Dove body wash representing black women in GIF that was posted Friday to the brand's Facebook page.
