Facebook Profile Picture Guard

Facebook introduced a new feature called Profile Picture Guard as part of new tools for better control over who can download and share their profile pictures.

Right now it is in an early state and works only in Android apps.

Profile Picture Guard
The feature will add a blue border and a little shield symbol which will appear on your profile picture. You can turn ProfilePicture Guard on or off, by following these simple steps-

  1. Click your profile picture
  2. Click options
  3. Click Turn on Profile Picture guard
  4. Click Save
After Facebook Profile Picture Guard activation
  • Other people will no longer able to download/share/send your profile picture in a message on Facebook.
  • People which are not in your friend list on Facebook won’t be able to tag anyone, including themselves, in your profile picture.
  • Where possible, it’ll prevent others from taking a screenshot of your profile picture on Facebook, which is currently available only on Android devices but as for now profile pictures with guard can be obtained with screenshot through a PC.

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its approval for the creation of the posts of Chairman and Technical Members of the National Anti-profiteering Authority (NAA) under GST, following up immediately on the sharp reduction in the GST rates of a large number of items of mass consumption. This paves the way for the immediate establishment of this apex body, which is mandated to ensure that the benefits of the reduction in GST rates on goods or services are passed on to the ultimate consumers by way of a reduction in prices as it is published by PIB . Dove apologizes for a social media post

Dove apologizes for a social media post that the company says "missed the mark". Dove took down the ad Sunday and posted an apology on Twitter.  An image we recently posted on Facebook missed the mark in representing women of color thoughtfully. We deeply regret the offense it caused. — Dove (@Dove) October 7, 2017 The offending ad was a 3-second GIF hawking Dove body wash representing black women in GIF that was posted Friday to the brand's Facebook page. It was taken down Saturday with the line "Ready for a Dove Shower?". It shows a looping image of a black woman removing a dark brown t-shirt to reveal a white woman. She then removes her beige t-shirt to show a third woman.
