EPFO beneficiaries to get payment through electronic or digital fund transfer system: The Ministry of Labour & Employment vide notificationdated 4th May 2017 has provided for electronic or digital fund transfer/payment of EPF benefits, pension disbursement and insurance claim.  For this purpose, suitable amendments have been made in all the three social security schemes administered by EPFO (http://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_docs/PDFs/Circulars/Y2017-2018/Manual_Notification_DBT_3004.pdf).


Such move is likely to benefit 4.5 crores EPF subscribers and around than 54 lakh pensioners.  Now, payments will be made to the beneficiaries through electronic or digital fund transfer system only ensuring quick transfer of funds, easier tracking and reconciliation thereof.

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its approval for the creation of the posts of Chairman and Technical Members of the National Anti-profiteering Authority (NAA) under GST, following up immediately on the sharp reduction in the GST rates of a large number of items of mass consumption. This paves the way for the immediate establishment of this apex body, which is mandated to ensure that the benefits of the reduction in GST rates on goods or services are passed on to the ultimate consumers by way of a reduction in prices as it is published by PIB . Dove apologizes for a social media post

Dove apologizes for a social media post that the company says "missed the mark". Dove took down the ad Sunday and posted an apology on Twitter.  An image we recently posted on Facebook missed the mark in representing women of color thoughtfully. We deeply regret the offense it caused. — Dove (@Dove) October 7, 2017 The offending ad was a 3-second GIF hawking Dove body wash representing black women in GIF that was posted Friday to the brand's Facebook page. It was taken down Saturday with the line "Ready for a Dove Shower?". It shows a looping image of a black woman removing a dark brown t-shirt to reveal a white woman.
